Linking Life History Stages to Aquaculture and Fish Ecology

In conjunction with the River Herring Productivity project, Jordaan and his LAB are engaged in researching the early life history of river herring in Massachusetts lakes, and spearheading efforts to formalize an agreement between UMass and the US Fish and Wildlife Service to house this research at an underutilized fish hatchery. If this partnership is successful, the LAB would immediately initiate research to better understand fish physiology, behavior, development, growth and survival.
