With Drs. Andy Danylchuk (UMass), Bryan M. DeAngelis (The Nature Conservancy), Gregory Skomal (MA DMF) and Richard Nemeth (University of the Virgin Islands), Jordaan has collaborated on “Building a multi-institutional effort to understand regional connectivity: linking fish, essential habitats and ecosystems for effective marine resource management”. With National Park Service and Puerto Rico Sea Grant support, we are monitoring the movement of a tropical fish species around Buck Island National Monument in order to develop effective management recommendations. Thus far, we have concentrated on relating barracuda movements to population density.
